Privacy Policy

Your CAD, measurements, notes, and diagnostics stay local. PartLens has no account, advertising, analytics, tracking, or CAD upload. Starting with version 2.28, it may read one small public version file so it can tell you when an update is available.
1. We do not collect app content or telemetry
PartLens has no user accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no app cookies. We do not ask the app to send your name, email, location, device identifier, usage statistics, CAD, measurements, notes, or diagnostics.
2. Limited update check
Android and Windows may request https://partlens.saptasati.co.in/site-manifest.json once per day and when you choose "Check for updates." The request identifies PartLens and its installed version in the standard user-agent header so the app can compare versions. It contains no CAD, file name or path, measurement, note, diagnostic, account, device ID, or usage event.
Like any website request, the hosting provider may temporarily process standard connection metadata such as IP address, request time, requested page, and user-agent in normal security/access logs. PartLens does not use that information to build profiles or telemetry. A notice only opens the official PartLens website after you choose it; the app does not silently download or install updates.
3. Your files stay on your device
When you open a CAD file (for example STEP/STP, IGES/IGS, STL, OBJ, PLY, GLB/glTF, DXF, or .partlens), PartLens reads it locally to display and measure it. Files are never copied to a server or shared with the developer. Any snapshots, annotations, or .partlens files you save are written only to the location you choose on your device.
4. Permissions we request, and why

5. Sharing is always started by you
If you tap "Share" — for example to send a dimensioned snapshot to WhatsApp or email — Android's system share sheet hands the file to the app you pick. PartLens itself does not send that content; you choose the destination, and the receiving app performs the transfer. If you never tap Share, no CAD, measurement, note, or capture leaves PartLens.
6. Children's privacy
PartLens is a professional engineering tool intended for a general and professional audience. It is not designed to collect personal information from children or any other user.
7. Changes to this policy
Version 2.28 added the limited public-manifest update check described above. If data practices change again, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date.
