Free glTF and GLB viewer for Android and Windows

Updated 16 October 2026 By the tool room at Saptasati Industries 3 min read

Quick answer

PartLens opens .glb and .gltf models for free on Android and Windows, offline. Textures, colours and the model's node tree are kept, and every node becomes a part you can hide, isolate, section and measure (≈).

glTF is the modern format for 3D models on the web and in apps. A .glb packs everything into one file; a .gltf keeps the model description beside its data files. Product configurators, AR viewers and scanning apps all export it.

What PartLens does with a glTF file

Open a glTF or GLB file

  1. Get PartLens free from Google Play or as a Windows download.
  2. On Android: Tap the file in WhatsApp, Gmail, Drive or your file manager and choose PartLens under Open with, or open PartLens and tap Open.
  3. On Windows: Install the free Windows app, then double-click the file, drag it onto the window, or use Open CAD….

Nothing is uploaded: the file is read on your device, with no account.

Honest limits

Files compressed with Draco or meshopt are not decoded; PartLens says so and asks for an export without mesh compression. glTF is a mesh, so measurements are approximate (≈).

Frequently asked questions

How do I open a GLB file on Android?

Install PartLens from Google Play, then tap the .glb file and choose PartLens. It opens offline with its textures.

Does PartLens show glTF textures?

Yes. PNG and JPEG base-colour textures are drawn, along with material and vertex colours.

Why won't my compressed GLB open?

Draco or meshopt mesh compression is not decoded. Export the model again without mesh compression and it will open.

Is the glTF viewer free?
